Job description

Patient Consultations: Conduct consultations with patients to assess their medical history, symptoms, and concerns, and perform physical examinations to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. Diagnosis and Treatment: Use clinical judgment and diagnostic skills to identify and diagnose common illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Prescription and Medication Management: Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies as appropriate, and provide guidance on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects. Preventive Care: Promote preventive healthcare measures, including vaccinations, health screenings, and lifestyle counseling, to prevent illness and promote overall health and well-being. Chronic Disease Management: Manage and monitor chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and arthritis, through regular follow-up appointments, medication adjustments, and lifestyle modifications. Minor Surgical Procedures: Perform minor surgical procedures and interventions, such as wound care, suturing, incision and drainage, and removal of skin lesions or foreign bodies, as needed. Referrals to Specialists: Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers for further evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment of complex or specialized medical conditions beyond the scope of primary care. Emergency Care: Provide immediate medical care and first aid in emergency situations, including assessing and stabilizing patients, administering emergency medications, and coordinating transfer to emergency departments or hospitals when necessary. Health Education and Counseling: Educate patients about their medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, and provide counseling on lifestyle modifications, diet, exercise, and other health-related behaviors. Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and follow-up notes, in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive and integrated healthcare services. Professional Development: Stay updated on medical research, advancements, and best practices through continuing medical education (CME) activities, conferences, and professional development opportunities to provide evidence-based care.
