Job description

Vehicle Inspection: Perform visual inspections and diagnostic tests to assess the condition of vehicle components, systems, and parts. Identify mechanical problems, malfunctions, or wear and tear that require repair or replacement. Diagnostic Testing: Use diagnostic tools, equipment, and software to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles. Conduct computerized diagnostics, scan engine codes, and analyze data to pinpoint the root cause of vehicle problems. Engine Repair and Maintenance: Repair and service vehicle engines, including gasoline, diesel, and hybrid engines. Perform tasks such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, filter replacements, timing belt adjustments, and cylinder head repairs to ensure optimal engine performance and efficiency. Transmission Repair: Diagnose and repair issues related to vehicle transmissions, including automatic, manual, and CVT (continuously variable transmission) systems. Perform transmission fluid changes, clutch replacements, gear adjustments, and torque converter repairs as needed. Brake System Repair: Inspect, repair, and replace brake components, including brake pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines, and brake fluid. Perform brake system flushes, adjustments, and safety inspections to ensure proper braking performance and vehicle safety. Suspension and Steering Repair: Repair and replace suspension components, such as shocks, struts, control arms, ball joints, and bushings. Perform wheel alignments, steering system repairs, and tire balancing to maintain vehicle stability, handling, and ride comfort. Electrical System Diagnosis: Troubleshoot electrical issues in vehicles, including wiring problems, battery issues, alternator failures, and malfunctioning electrical components. Use multimeters, test lights, and diagnostic scanners to identify and resolve electrical faults. HVAC System Service: Service and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in vehicles. Diagnose HVAC system problems, recharge refrigerant, replace compressor components, and repair air ducts to restore climate control functionality. Exhaust System Repair: Inspect and repair exhaust systems, mufflers, catalytic converters, and exhaust pipes. Perform emissions testing, exhaust system leak detection, and exhaust system component replacements to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Fuel System Service: Service and repair fuel delivery systems, including fuel pumps, fuel injectors, fuel filters, and fuel lines. Perform fuel system cleaning, fuel pressure testing, and fuel injector servicing to optimize engine performance and fuel efficiency. Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as fluid changes, filter replacements, belt and hose inspections, and tire rotations. Follow manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules to prolong vehicle lifespan and prevent premature wear and tear. Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to explain vehicle repair recommendations, provide cost estimates, and address any concerns or questions they may have. Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.
