Job description

Vehicle Inspection and Diagnosis: Performing thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, or technical issues. You use diagnostic tools, equipment, and manual checks to assess the condition of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, steering components, and other vehicle systems. Repair and Maintenance Services: Conducting repairs and maintenance tasks to address identified issues and ensure the proper functioning of vehicles. This may include engine repairs, brake repairs, suspension repairs, transmission repairs, electrical system repairs, and fluid changes (e.g., oil changes, coolant flushes). Component Replacement: Removing and replacing worn-out or damaged vehicle components, including belts, hoses, filters, spark plugs, brake pads, rotors, shocks, struts, and bearings. You use specialized tools and equipment to disassemble, install, and torque components according to manufacturer specifications. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex vehicle problems, such as engine misfires, electrical issues, drivability concerns, and performance problems. You analyze symptoms, review diagnostic data, and use your technical expertise to identify root causes and develop effective repair solutions. Diagnostic Testing and Calibration: Performing diagnostic tests and calibrations on vehicle systems and components using specialized diagnostic equipment and software. You conduct tests such as engine diagnostics, computerized engine analysis, emissions testing, and electronic module programming to identify faults and verify repairs. Preventive Maintenance: Performing routine preventive maintenance tasks to keep vehicles in optimal condition and prevent premature wear and component failures. This may include scheduled maintenance services such as tune-ups, fluid flushes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and wheel alignments. Safety Inspections and Compliance: Conducting safety inspections and ensuring that vehicles meet regulatory and safety standards. You check for compliance with emission standards, brake performance requirements, tire tread depth, lighting functionality, and other safety-related criteria to ensure roadworthiness and driver safety. Customer Service and Communication: Interacting with customers to understand their vehicle concerns, explain repair recommendations, and provide updates on service progress. You address customer questions, concerns, and feedback professionally, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfaction throughout the repair process. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Documenting repair procedures, parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings accurately in service records and work orders. You maintain detailed records of vehicle maintenance and repairs for warranty purposes, regulatory compliance, and future reference. Continuous Learning and Development: Staying updated on automotive technology, repair techniques, and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development.
