Job description

Vehicle Inspection: Conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, or other issues. Using diagnostic equipment, visual inspections, and test drives to assess the condition of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other components. Diagnostic Testing: Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems with vehicle systems and components. Analyzing diagnostic codes, sensor readings, and other data to pinpoint issues accurately. Repair and Maintenance: Performing repairs and maintenance tasks on vehicles to address identified issues and ensure optimal performance and safety. This may include replacing worn or damaged parts, repairing faulty components, and performing routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Engine Repair and Overhaul: Diagnosing and repairing engine problems such as misfires, overheating, or lack of power. Performing engine overhauls, including cylinder head repairs, piston replacements, and timing belt replacements, to restore engine performance. Electrical System Repair: Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, alternators, starters, and ignition systems. Diagnosing and fixing electrical issues such as dead batteries, faulty wiring, or malfunctioning sensors. Brake and Suspension Repair: Inspecting, repairing, and replacing brake components such as pads, rotors, calipers, and brake lines to ensure safe braking performance. Repairing or replacing suspension components such as shocks, struts, and control arms to maintain vehicle stability and ride comfort. Transmission Repair and Service: Diagnosing and repairing transmission problems such as slipping, shifting issues, or fluid leaks. Performing transmission fluid flushes, filter replacements, and transmission rebuilds or replacements as needed. HVAC System Repair: Troubleshooting and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in vehicles. Inspecting and repairing components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerant lines to restore HVAC system functionality. Computer Diagnostics: Using computerized diagnostic equipment and software to interface with vehicle onboard computers and retrieve diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Interpreting DTCs and diagnostic data to diagnose complex issues accurately. Customer Service: Communicating effectively with customers to explain vehicle diagnoses, repair recommendations, and estimated costs. Providing excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction with repairs. Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks are performed in compliance with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and industry regulations. Following proper safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working on vehicles. Continuous Learning and Development: Staying updated with advancements in automotive technology, diagnostic techniques, and repair procedures through ongoing training, certification programs, and industry publications. Continuously improving skills and knowledge to provide quality service and maintain professional competence.
