Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcoming guests as they arrive, escorting them to their tables, presenting menus, and providing any necessary assistance or information. Taking Orders: Taking food and beverage orders from guests, accurately recording their selections, and conveying orders to the kitchen or bar staff. Menu Knowledge: Having a thorough understanding of the menu, including descriptions of dishes, ingredients, preparation methods, and recommendations for guests. Serving Food: Delivering food orders to guests' tables promptly and accurately, ensuring that dishes are presented attractively and garnished appropriately. Serving Beverages: Pouring and serving drinks, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, wines, beers, and specialty drinks, according to guests' preferences and established recipes. Upselling and Promotion: Suggesting additional menu items, specials, or promotions to guests to enhance their dining experience and increase sales. Table Maintenance: Checking back with guests to ensure their satisfaction with the meal, refilling drinks, clearing empty plates and glasses, and resetting tables for the next guests. Handling Payments: Presenting the bill to guests, processing payments accurately and efficiently, and providing change or processing credit card transactions as needed. Customer Interaction: Interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any questions, concerns, or special requests, and ensuring that guests' needs are met throughout their dining experience. Teamwork and Communication: Collaborating with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth and efficient service, communicating any special requests or modifications to orders, and coordinating the timing of courses. Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards, including proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness of equipment and work areas, to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of guests. Product Knowledge: Staying informed about the restaurant's offerings, including food and beverage specials, promotions, and ingredients, and effectively communicating this information to guests.
