Job description

Team Management: Supervising and leading a team of floor staff, including sales associates, servers, or other frontline employees. Providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure that team members perform their duties effectively and meet performance targets. Shift Scheduling: Creating and managing employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours. Adjusting staffing levels based on traffic patterns, special events, or other factors that may impact workload. Customer Service: Ensuring that high-quality customer service is delivered consistently by all team members. Setting service standards, providing training, and coaching staff on best practices for engaging with customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues. Sales Performance: Monitoring and analyzing sales performance metrics, such as sales revenue, conversion rates, average transaction value, and customer satisfaction scores. Identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement to drive sales growth and achieve targets. Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory levels and merchandise displays on the floor. Ensuring that products are stocked, organized, and presented attractively to maximize sales opportunities and enhance the customer shopping experience. Product Knowledge: Developing a comprehensive understanding of the products or services offered by the establishment. Providing training to staff on product features, benefits, pricing, and promotions to enable them to assist customers effectively and make informed recommendations. Operational Efficiency: Implementing and enforcing operational policies, procedures, and standards to ensure smooth and efficient floor operations. Addressing any issues or bottlenecks that may arise and taking corrective action to maintain productivity and service quality. Safety and Security: Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and staff. Enforcing safety protocols, emergency procedures, and security measures to prevent accidents, theft, or incidents on the floor. Communication: Facilitating communication between management and frontline staff. Sharing updates, announcements, and directives from upper management with the team and conveying feedback, concerns, or suggestions from staff to management. Performance Management: Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to employees. Recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance and addressing performance issues or disciplinary matters as needed. Customer Feedback: Soliciting feedback from customers through surveys, reviews, or direct interactions. Using customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance the customer experience and satisfaction. Training and Development: Providing ongoing training and development opportunities to staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance. Offering coaching, mentoring, and resources to help employees succeed in their roles and advance their careers.
