Job description

Staff Management: Supervising and coordinating the activities of floor staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and training, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Customer Service: Ensuring high-quality customer service is provided by floor staff, addressing customer inquiries or complaints, and resolving any issues that may arise to ensure a positive shopping or dining experience. Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, conducting stock checks, and coordinating with the inventory control team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and replenished as needed. Visual Merchandising: Overseeing the presentation and layout of merchandise or displays on the sales floor to ensure products are showcased effectively and in accordance with brand standards. Sales Performance: Monitoring sales performance metrics, such as sales targets, conversion rates, and average transaction value, and implementing strategies to optimize sales and meet or exceed targets. Operational Efficiency: Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline processes within the department, such as optimizing staffing levels, reducing wastage, or improving workflow. Training and Development: Providing ongoing training and development opportunities for floor staff to enhance their product knowledge, customer service skills, and sales techniques. Health and Safety: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations by conducting regular safety inspections, addressing any hazards or risks, and providing staff with appropriate training and equipment. Communication: Serving as a liaison between floor staff and upper management, relaying important information, feedback, and updates, and facilitating effective communication and teamwork among team members. Performance Evaluation: Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback to floor staff, recognizing achievements, and addressing areas for improvement to support professional growth and development. Conflict Resolution: Resolving conflicts or disputes among floor staff or between staff and customers in a calm and professional manner, de-escalating tense situations, and finding mutually satisfactory solutions. Administrative Tasks: Completing administrative tasks such as scheduling shifts, managing payroll, processing orders or returns, and maintaining accurate records related to sales, inventory, and staff performance.
