Job description

Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees working on the designated floor, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards. Training and Development: Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to improve the skills, performance, and productivity of floor staff members. Shift Scheduling: Create and manage shift schedules for floor staff to ensure adequate coverage during operational hours, taking into account workload, staffing levels, and peak periods of activity. Customer Service: Monitor and maintain high levels of customer service and satisfaction by ensuring that floor staff are attentive, helpful, and responsive to customer needs, inquiries, and complaints. Product Knowledge: Ensure that floor staff are knowledgeable about the products or services offered by the organization, including features, benefits, pricing, and promotions, and provide training as needed to enhance product knowledge. Sales Support: Assist with sales activities by guiding floor staff in upselling, cross-selling, and suggestive selling techniques, and stepping in to handle customer inquiries, transactions, or escalations as necessary. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and coordinate restocking activities to ensure adequate product availability on the floor and prevent stockouts or overstocking situations. Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of merchandise, displays, and facilities to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with visual merchandising standards, safety regulations, and hygiene protocols. Safety and Security: Enforce safety and security measures on the floor to protect employees, customers, and assets from potential hazards, accidents, theft, or unauthorized access, and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents. Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of floor staff through regular assessments, feedback sessions, and performance reviews, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement as part of the performance management process. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication channels with floor staff, other supervisors, and management to relay information, address issues, share updates, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Problem Resolution: Handle customer complaints, employee conflicts, or operational issues on the floor by listening to concerns, investigating root causes, and implementing solutions or corrective actions to resolve problems promptly and effectively.
