Job description

Staff Supervision: Manage and supervise floor staff, including sales associates, servers, or customer service representatives. Assign tasks, set expectations, and provide guidance to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by training staff on company policies, procedures, and service standards. Monitor interactions with customers, handle escalated issues or complaints, and strive to enhance the overall customer experience. Floor Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations on the floor, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and maintenance of facilities and equipment. Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety standards are maintained at all times. Sales and Performance Management: Monitor sales performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and set targets for the floor team. Motivate and incentivize staff to achieve sales goals and deliver excellent service to customers. Staff Training and Development: Conduct training sessions or workshops to develop the skills and knowledge of floor staff. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to help employees improve performance and reach their full potential. Scheduling and Shift Planning: Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and optimize labor costs. Balance staffing levels based on customer traffic, sales trends, and operational needs. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, track product movement, and oversee stock replenishment procedures. Coordinate with the inventory management team to minimize stockouts, overstocking, and shrinkage. Promotions and Merchandising: Implement promotional campaigns, sales events, or merchandising initiatives to drive foot traffic and increase sales. Collaborate with the marketing team to create attractive displays and signage to showcase products effectively. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with legal regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to safety, sanitation, employment laws, and licensing requirements. Conduct regular audits to assess compliance and address any issues proactively. Communication and Coordination: Serve as a liaison between floor staff, upper management, and other departments. Facilitate effective communication, coordinate cross-functional activities, and relay important updates or directives to the team. Problem Solving and Decision Making: Address operational challenges, resolve conflicts, and make quick decisions to maintain workflow efficiency and resolve issues in a timely manner. Prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to meet business objectives. Performance Analysis and Reporting: Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of floor operations. Prepare reports, presentations, or dashboards to communicate insights and recommend improvements to management.
