Job description

Supervising Staff: Directly supervising and managing the performance of employees working on the floor, including sales associates, customer service representatives, and other support staff. Floor Managers provide guidance, support, and feedback to ensure staff are performing their duties effectively. Managing Operations: Overseeing day-to-day operations on the floor, including opening and closing procedures, staffing levels, and workflow management. Floor Managers ensure that tasks are delegated appropriately, and resources are utilized efficiently to meet business objectives. Customer Service: Ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained at all times. Floor Managers lead by example in providing excellent customer service, handling customer inquiries or complaints, and resolving issues in a timely and satisfactory manner. Sales and Revenue Generation: Setting sales targets and goals for the floor and implementing strategies to achieve them. Floor Managers monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling to maximize revenue. Training and Development: Providing training, coaching, and development opportunities for floor staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Floor Managers conduct regular training sessions, workshops, and performance evaluations to improve employee performance and morale. Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, stock replenishment, and merchandise displays on the floor. Floor Managers ensure that products are adequately stocked, displayed attractively, and priced correctly to meet customer demand and drive sales. Safety and Security: Ensuring the safety and security of customers, staff, and assets on the floor. Floor Managers enforce safety protocols, emergency procedures, and security measures to prevent accidents, theft, or unauthorized access. Quality Control: Maintaining high standards of product quality, cleanliness, and presentation on the floor. Floor Managers conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality checks to ensure that products meet company standards and customer expectations. Communication and Coordination: Facilitating communication and coordination between different departments and teams within the organization. Floor Managers liaise with other managers, supervisors, and support staff to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and ensure seamless operations. Performance Evaluation and Reporting: Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the floor in terms of sales, customer service, and operational efficiency. Floor Managers analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare reports, and provide regular updates to senior management on floor performance and areas for improvement.
