Job description

Staff Supervision and Training: Managing and supervising staff members working on the floor. This includes scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Customer Service: Ensuring a high standard of customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and maintaining a positive customer experience. Floor Managers often interact directly with customers to assist with product inquiries or service requests. Inventory Management: Monitoring and managing inventory levels on the floor. This involves conducting regular stock checks, overseeing replenishment processes, and coordinating with the inventory or logistics team to ensure adequate stock availability. Sales Performance: Monitoring sales metrics and performance indicators for the floor. This includes setting sales targets, tracking progress, and implementing strategies to achieve sales goals and maximize revenue. Floor Layout and Merchandising: Planning and organizing the floor layout and displays to optimize space and enhance product visibility. Floor Managers ensure merchandise is properly arranged, priced, and presented according to company guidelines and seasonal promotions. Operational Efficiency: Streamlining operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity on the floor. This includes optimizing workflow, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to enhance operational effectiveness. Health and Safety: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe environment for both customers and staff. This includes conducting safety inspections, addressing hazards, and enforcing safety protocols. Communication and Coordination: Acting as a liaison between floor staff, department heads, and senior management. Floor Managers communicate operational updates, relay customer feedback, and collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve service delivery. Problem Solving and Decision Making: Addressing operational challenges and making informed decisions to resolve issues promptly. Floor Managers must be able to prioritize tasks, handle unexpected situations, and maintain composure under pressure. Performance Evaluation: Conducting performance reviews and providing feedback to floor staff. Floor Managers assess employee performance, recognize achievements, and identify areas for improvement to support staff development and career growth.
