Staff Supervision and Management: Supervising and managing the performance of floor staff, including sales associates, servers, hosts/hostesses, or other frontline employees. You assign duties, provide training and guidance, and ensure that staff members adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards of service. Shift Scheduling and Allocation: Creating and managing shift schedules for floor staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and optimal staffing levels based on customer traffic and business needs. You allocate resources efficiently, balance workload distribution, and adjust staffing as needed to meet fluctuations in demand. Customer Service Excellence: Ensuring that all interactions with customers are positive, professional, and in line with the organization's service standards. You lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, address customer inquiries or concerns promptly, and handle escalated issues with tact and diplomacy. Floor Operations Management: Overseeing day-to-day operations on the designated floor or area, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and cleanliness standards. You ensure that the floor is well-maintained, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies or merchandise. Sales and Revenue Optimization: Driving sales performance and revenue generation by motivating and coaching floor staff to achieve sales targets and upsell products or services. You monitor sales metrics, analyze trends, and implement strategies to increase sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and maximize profitability. Training and Development: Providing ongoing training, coaching, and development opportunities to floor staff to improve their product knowledge, sales skills, and customer service abilities. You conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and support staff members in achieving their goals and career growth. Communication and Collaboration: Facilitating effective communication and collaboration between floor staff, management, and other departments or teams within the organization. You relay important information, updates, and directives from management to floor staff and vice versa, fostering a cohesive and supportive work environment. Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Addressing issues, conflicts, or challenges that arise on the floor in a timely and effective manner. You listen to employee concerns, mediate disputes, and find mutually acceptable solutions to ensure a positive work environment and maintain productivity and morale. Safety and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, health standards, and company policies to maintain a safe and secure environment for both customers and employees. You enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and address any safety hazards or violations promptly. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency on the designated floor. You analyze performance data, identify areas for improvement, and prepare regular reports or presentations for management to evaluate floor performance and make informed decisions.
