Job description

Staff Supervision: You oversee and supervise the activities of floor staff, including sales associates, servers, or customer service representatives. This involves assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and ensuring that staff members adhere to company policies and procedures. Training and Development: You train new hires and provide ongoing training to existing staff to ensure they have the knowledge and skills needed to perform their roles effectively. This may include product knowledge training, customer service training, and safety training. Customer Service: You ensure that customers receive excellent service by coaching and mentoring staff on best practices for customer engagement, resolving customer complaints or issues, and maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere on the floor. Inventory Management: You oversee inventory levels on the floor, ensuring that products are adequately stocked, organized, and displayed to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage. This involves conducting regular inventory counts, identifying slow-moving items, and coordinating restocking efforts with the inventory team. Sales Performance: You monitor and track sales performance metrics, such as daily sales targets, conversion rates, and average transaction value. You work with staff to set sales goals, motivate them to achieve targets, and implement strategies to drive sales and increase revenue. Operational Efficiency: You ensure that floor operations run smoothly and efficiently by optimizing workflows, streamlining processes, and resolving any operational issues or bottlenecks that may arise. This may involve coordinating with other departments or teams to address cross-functional challenges. Safety and Security: You ensure the safety and security of customers and staff by enforcing safety protocols, monitoring for hazards or safety risks, and responding promptly to emergencies or incidents on the floor. This includes conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Communication: You serve as a liaison between floor staff and upper management, communicating important information, updates, and directives effectively. You also facilitate communication between different departments or teams to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts. Performance Management: You conduct performance evaluations for floor staff, providing feedback on their performance, identifying areas for improvement, and recognizing outstanding contributions. You may also address disciplinary issues or performance concerns as needed. Customer Feedback: You gather and analyze customer feedback and insights to identify areas for improvement and enhance the overall customer experience on the floor. You may implement changes or initiatives based on customer feedback to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
