Territory Management: They are responsible for defining and allocating sales territories to optimize coverage and maximize sales opportunities. This may involve analyzing market data, identifying target customers, and determining sales strategies for each territory. Sales Planning and Strategy: Field Sales Managers develop and implement sales plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share. This includes setting sales objectives, identifying key accounts, and prioritizing sales activities to drive results. Customer Relationship Management: They build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, prospects, and business partners in their assigned territories. They may conduct sales meetings, presentations, and negotiations to win new business and retain existing customers. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Field Sales Managers forecast sales projections, monitor sales performance against targets, and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges. They provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales activities and results.
