Experiment with different silhouettes, styles, and details to create unique and innovative designs. Fabric Selection: Choose appropriate fabrics and materials that align with your design concept and aesthetic. Consider factors such as texture, drape, color, and sustainability. Pattern Making: Create patterns for garments or accessories based on your designs. Use pattern-making software or draft patterns by hand to ensure proper fit and construction. Prototyping and Sampling: Develop prototypes or samples of your designs to test their feasibility and functionality. Work closely with pattern makers, sample makers, and seamstresses to bring your designs to life. Fittings and Adjustments: Conduct fittings with models to assess the fit, comfort, and proportions of your designs. Make necessary adjustments to patterns or prototypes to achieve the desired look and fit.
