Prescribe medications, corrective lenses, or other therapies to manage eye conditions and improve visual acuity. Surgical Interventions: Perform surgical procedures to address complex eye conditions or vision problems, such as cataract surgery, refractive surgery (e.g., LASIK), corneal transplants, or retinal procedures. Coordinate pre-operative assessments, surgical planning, and post-operative care for optimal outcomes. Emergency Eye Care: Provide urgent or emergency eye care services for guests experiencing acute eye injuries, infections, or sudden vision changes. Assess the severity of the condition, stabilize the patient, and administer appropriate treatments to prevent vision loss or complications. Optical Services: Offer optical services, including prescribing eyeglasses, contact lenses, or low vision aids to correct refractive errors, improve visual function, or enhance visual comfort for guests. Provide guidance on lens selection, fitting, and proper use for optimal outcomes. Pediatric Eye Care: Evaluate and manage pediatric eye conditions and vision disorders in children staying at the resort. Conduct pediatric eye exams, screenings, and vision assessments to detect and treat conditions such as amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed eyes), or refractive errors. Health Promotion and Education: Educate guests and visitors about eye health, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications to maintain optimal vision and eye function. Provide guidance on eye safety practices, UV protection, and screen time management to reduce the risk of eye-related problems. Collaborative Care: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, and allied health staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients with complex medical needs or multi-system conditions. Telemedicine Services: Offer telemedicine consultations and virtual follow-up appointments for guests who require remote access to eye care services or expertise. Use telehealth technology to conduct virtual exams, monitor progress, and provide ongoing support and guidance. Continuing Education: Stay updated on the latest advancements, research findings, and treatment modalities in ophthalmology through continuing medical education (CME) activities, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
