Effective EVS teaching-learning takes place when children are allowed to explore and observe their immediate environment. A teacher encourages children to observe animals and make pictures on their own with the objectives to develop: creativity of children. Environmental science teachers teach about the impact of humans on natural ecosystems. They cover issues such as pollution, environmental destruction, sustainability and climate change. As per of EVS curriculum, children at the Primary Stage are expected to; acquire awareness about immediate/wider surroundings through lived experiences on various themes related to daily life for example Family, Plants, Animals, Food, Water, Travel, and Shelter etc.
