Job description

Curriculum Planning: Developing and planning English language and literature curriculum based on educational standards, student needs, and learning objectives. You design lessons, activities, and assessments that engage students and promote learning and skill development in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Instruction and Delivery: Delivering effective instruction in English language skills, grammar, vocabulary, and literature. You use a variety of teaching methods and strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, including lectures, discussions, group activities, multimedia resources, and hands-on experiences. Language Proficiency Development: Facilitating language proficiency development in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. You provide language practice and feedback to help students improve their fluency, accuracy, and comprehension in English communication. Literature Exploration: Introducing students to a variety of literary genres, authors, and works of literature from different cultures and historical periods. You foster a love of reading and critical thinking skills by analyzing literary texts, themes, characters, and literary devices. Writing Instruction and Feedback: Teaching writing skills and strategies for composing essays, reports, narratives, and other types of written communication. You provide instruction in grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and paragraph development, and offer constructive feedback to help students improve their writing proficiency. Assessment and Evaluation: Assessing student learning through a variety of assessment methods, including quizzes, tests, essays, presentations, and projects. You evaluate student performance based on established criteria, provide feedback on strengths and areas for improvement, and communicate progress to students and parents. Classroom Management: Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement, participation, and collaboration. You establish clear expectations, rules, and routines, manage classroom behavior effectively, and address disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner. Differentiated Instruction: Providing differentiated instruction and support to meet the diverse needs of students, including English language learners (ELLs), students with special needs, and gifted learners. You modify instructional materials, assignments, and assessments to accommodate individual learning styles, abilities, and interests. Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices, pedagogical approaches, and instructional technologies in English language teaching. You participate in workshops, conferences, and training programs, and collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and resources.
