Job description

Curriculum Development: Developing and planning English language curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials that align with educational standards, learning objectives, and students' needs and abilities. Instruction Delivery: Delivering engaging and effective English language instruction through a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, group activities, multimedia presentations, and hands-on exercises. Language Skills Development: Teaching and reinforcing language skills such as reading, writing, listening, and speaking, as well as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and comprehension. Literature Study: Introducing students to literary works from various genres, time periods, and cultural backgrounds, and facilitating discussions, analyses, and interpretations of texts to develop critical thinking and literary appreciation. Writing Instruction: Teaching writing skills, including essay writing, creative writing, analytical writing, and research paper writing, and providing feedback and guidance to help students improve their writing proficiency and style. Language Assessment: Assessing students' language proficiency, comprehension, and writing skills through quizzes, tests, exams, essays, presentations, and other assessment methods, and providing constructive feedback on their performance. Individualized Instruction: Providing individualized support and assistance to students with diverse learning needs, abilities, and backgrounds, including English language learners (ELLs) and students with learning disabilities or language barriers. Classroom Management: Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing classroom behavior, fostering student engagement and participation, and promoting respect, cooperation, and academic integrity among students. Cultural Competence: Integrating cultural awareness and sensitivity into English language instruction, exploring diverse perspectives, experiences, and voices in literature, and promoting understanding and appreciation of different cultures and identities. Technology Integration: Incorporating educational technology tools, resources, and platforms into English language instruction to enhance learning experiences, facilitate communication, and engage students in interactive and multimedia-rich activities. Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions, and staying updated on best practices, research findings, and trends in English language teaching and learning. Parent and Community Engagement: Communicating regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on students' progress, discuss concerns or academic goals, and collaborate on strategies to support students' English language development and academic success.
