Job description

Curriculum Development: Develop and plan engaging lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives. Design activities, projects, and assessments to support student learning and development. Teaching: Deliver effective instruction to students in various aspects of the English language, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Use a variety of teaching strategies, techniques, and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Language Skills Development: Teach grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, and syntax to help students improve their language proficiency and communication skills. Provide feedback and guidance to help students develop clarity, coherence, and accuracy in written and spoken English. Literature Analysis: Introduce students to a variety of literary genres, authors, and works of literature. Facilitate discussions, analysis, and interpretation of texts to help students develop critical thinking, analytical, and literary appreciation skills. Writing Instruction: Guide students through the writing process, including brainstorming, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing. Teach writing strategies, techniques, and conventions to help students become effective and confident writers. Reading Comprehension: Foster reading comprehension skills by selecting and assigning texts that are appropriate for students' interests, reading levels, and language abilities. Scaffold reading activities and provide support to help students understand and interpret texts effectively. Speaking and Listening Skills: Facilitate oral communication activities, discussions, debates, and presentations to help students develop speaking and listening skills. Encourage active participation, collaboration, and respectful communication in classroom interactions. Assessment and Evaluation: Assess student learning and progress using a variety of assessment methods, such as quizzes, tests, essays, presentations, and projects. Provide constructive feedback and grades to students to help them understand their strengths and areas for improvement. Differentiation and Individualized Instruction: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs, interests, and abilities of students. Provide individualized support, accommodations, and adaptations for students with special needs or English language learners (ELLs). Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement, participation, and learning. Set clear expectations, routines, and behavior guidelines to promote a respectful and productive classroom atmosphere. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance teaching skills, knowledge of pedagogy, and understanding of best practices in English language teaching. Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to stay updated on emerging trends and research in education. Parent Communication and Collaboration: Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on student progress, academic performance, and behavior.
