Job description

Equipment Installation: Install, set up, and configure electronic equipment and systems according to specifications and engineering drawings. Ensure proper wiring, connections, and grounding to prevent electrical faults and hazards. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electronic equipment and systems to identify root causes of malfunctions or failures. Use testing tools, diagnostic equipment, and schematics to locate faulty components and circuits. Repair: Repair or replace defective components, parts, or modules to restore electronic equipment to proper working condition. Solder, desolder, and rework circuit boards. Replace faulty integrated circuits (ICs), transistors, capacitors, resistors, and other electronic components. Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on electronic equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliability. Clean equipment, inspect for wear and tear, and lubricate moving parts. Replace worn-out components and perform calibration as needed. Component-Level Repair: Conduct repairs at the component level, including circuit board repair, soldering, and reflow soldering. Test and troubleshoot electronic circuits using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other test equipment. Software Updates: Install firmware updates, software patches, and programming changes on electronic devices and systems. Upload software revisions and configuration changes to control systems, microcontrollers, and embedded devices. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations when working with electronic equipment and systems. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents, injuries, and electrical hazards. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service history using work orders, service reports, and equipment logs. Document equipment specifications, serial numbers, and warranty information for tracking and reference purposes. Calibration: Calibrate electronic instruments and measurement devices to ensure accuracy and precision. Adjust calibration settings, parameters, and offsets to maintain compliance with quality standards and specifications. Quality Assurance: Perform quality control checks and inspections to verify that electronic equipment meets performance standards and specifications. Conduct functional tests, performance tests, and reliability tests to validate proper operation and functionality. Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers, end-users, and stakeholders to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide technical support. Offer guidance, advice, and recommendations on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Continuing Education: Stay updated on advancements in electronic technology, equipment, and systems through ongoing training, certification programs, and professional development opportunities. Expand knowledge and skills in areas such as digital electronics, analog circuits, microcontrollers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
