This includes following guidelines established by organizations such as the National Electrical Code (NEC) or the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Security Systems Installation: Electricians may be involved in installing security systems, such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, or alarm systems, to protect homes, businesses, or other facilities from unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism. They are responsible for ensuring that these systems are installed correctly and operate reliably to enhance security. Fire Protection: Electricians may install and maintain fire alarm systems, smoke detectors, and other fire protection equipment to detect and respond to fire hazards promptly.
