Job description

Installation: Install electrical wiring, circuits, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components according to blueprints, building codes, and safety regulations. Ensure proper sizing, placement, and routing of electrical systems to meet project requirements. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. Test electrical equipment, troubleshoot problems, and replace worn or damaged components as needed. Repair: Diagnose electrical problems, faults, or failures using diagnostic tools and equipment. Identify the root cause of malfunctions, such as short circuits, overloads, or faulty connections, and implement appropriate repairs or replacements to restore functionality. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent electrical hazards, shocks, and fires. Use personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, and insulated tools, when working with electricity. Adhere to electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risks. Wiring and Rewiring: Install, repair, or replace electrical wiring in buildings, structures, or machinery. Run conduit, cables, and wiring through walls, ceilings, and floors, ensuring proper insulation, grounding, and termination of connections. Panel Installation: Install and wire electrical panels, circuit breakers, and distribution boards to control electrical power distribution within buildings or facilities. Label circuits, mark breakers, and organize wiring to facilitate maintenance and troubleshooting. Lighting Installation: Install indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures, including recessed lights, track lighting, ceiling fans, and security lights. Wire lighting circuits, install switches, and adjust fixtures for proper illumination and aesthetics. Appliance Installation: Install electrical appliances, equipment, and machinery, such as HVAC systems, kitchen appliances, generators, and industrial machinery. Ensure proper wiring connections, grounding, and electrical supply for safe and efficient operation. Data and Communication Wiring: Install low-voltage wiring for data networking, telecommunications, audiovisual systems, and security systems. Terminate cables, install jacks, and configure connections for voice, data, and video transmission. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency service calls for electrical emergencies, power outages, or electrical system failures. Prioritize safety, assess risks, and implement corrective actions to restore power and prevent further damage. Customer Service: Communicate with customers to understand their electrical needs, discuss project requirements, and provide recommendations for electrical solutions.
