Job description

Curriculum development: Planning and designing comprehensive lesson plans, activities, and projects that cover a range of economic topics and align with curriculum standards and learning objectives. Classroom instruction: Delivering engaging and interactive lessons that explore fundamental economic concepts such as supply and demand, market structures, macroeconomic indicators, fiscal and monetary policy, international trade, and economic systems. Conceptual understanding: Helping students develop a solid foundation of economic principles and theories, and guiding them in applying economic concepts to analyze real-world issues, trends, and events. Critical thinking and analysis: Encouraging students to think critically, analyze data, evaluate arguments, and draw informed conclusions about economic phenomena, policies, and outcomes. Inquiry-based learning: Facilitating inquiry-based learning experiences that allow students to explore economic questions, conduct research, gather evidence, and develop arguments in support of their conclusions, fostering curiosity and independent thinking. Application of economic knowledge: Connecting economic concepts to real-world applications and current events, and demonstrating the relevance of economics to everyday life, business decision-making, public policy, and global issues. Economic literacy: Teaching students about fundamental economic concepts such as opportunity cost, scarcity, inflation, unemployment, taxation, and income distribution, and helping them understand the role of economics in shaping individual choices and societal outcomes. Data analysis and interpretation: Providing opportunities for students to analyze economic data, graphs, charts, and tables, and draw meaningful insights and conclusions to support economic arguments and policy recommendations. Multimedia resources: Integrating multimedia resources such as videos, simulations, and online databases into economics instruction to enhance student engagement, understanding, and retention of economic concepts and principles. Assessment and evaluation: Designing and implementing assessments, quizzes, tests, and projects to measure students' understanding and mastery of economic concepts and skills, and providing timely and constructive feedback to support their learning and growth.
