Safe Driving: Your foremost responsibility is to operate the vehicle safely and defensively, obeying traffic laws and regulations at all times. This includes observing speed limits, signaling lane changes, and maintaining a safe following distance. Vehicle Maintenance: You are responsible for ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition before each trip. This involves conducting routine inspections, checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes, and reporting any issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel. Route Planning: You plan and navigate routes efficiently, considering factors such as traffic conditions, road closures, and weather conditions. You may use GPS navigation systems or maps to determine the best route to reach your destination. Passenger Safety (if applicable): If you transport passengers, ensuring their safety is paramount. You assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, secure seat belts or other safety restraints, and provide assistance to passengers with disabilities or special needs. Cargo Handling (if applicable): If you transport goods or cargo, you are responsible for loading and unloading items safely and securely. This may involve using appropriate equipment, securing loads with straps or tie-downs, and following proper lifting techniques to prevent injury. Customer Service: If you provide transportation services to passengers, you may be required to provide courteous and professional customer service. Emergency Response: In the event of an accident, breakdown, or other emergencies, you remain calm and follow established procedures for notifying authorities, providing assistance to passengers or others involved, and ensuring their safety until help arrives.
