You stay informed about traffic conditions, road closures, and alternative routes to avoid delays and congestion. Passenger or Cargo Transport: Depending on your role, you transport passengers or cargo to their destination safely and efficiently. You may assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, handle luggage or cargo, and ensure that passengers or cargo are secured properly during transit. Vehicle Maintenance: You perform basic maintenance tasks on your vehicle, such as checking fluid levels, inspecting tires, and ensuring that lights and signals are working properly. You report any mechanical issues or concerns to the appropriate authorities for repair or maintenance. Customer Service: If you are transporting passengers, you provide excellent customer service by greeting passengers, assisting with their needs or inquiries, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey. You may also provide information about routes, destinations, or local points of interest. Delivery Services: If you are delivering goods or materials, you ensure that deliveries are made on time and according to schedule. You may obtain signatures or proof of delivery, handle paperwork or invoices, and communicate with dispatchers or clients regarding delivery status. Safety and Compliance: You adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and transportation laws to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. This may include wearing seat belts, following speed limits, and avoiding distractions while driving. Emergency Response: In the event of an emergency, such as an accident, breakdown, or medical emergency, you respond quickly and appropriately to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers, cargo, and other road users. You may contact emergency services, provide first aid, or assist with evacuations as needed. Record Keeping: You maintain accurate records of your driving activities, including mileage logs, fuel receipts, delivery receipts, or passenger manifests. This documentation may be necessary for regulatory compliance, billing purposes, or insurance claims. Professionalism: You represent your company or organization professionally at all times, demonstrating courtesy, respect, and professionalism in your interactions with passengers, clients, and other road users.
