Safe Operation of Vehicle: Operating vehicles safely and adhering to traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards. You maintain control of the vehicle, obey traffic signs and signals, and practice defensive driving techniques to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other road users. Vehicle Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance checks and inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. You check fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and other essential components, and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to appropriate personnel for repairs or servicing. Route Planning and Navigation: Planning and navigating routes to reach destinations efficiently and on time. You use maps, GPS devices, or navigation apps to determine the best routes, avoid traffic congestion, and minimize travel time while considering factors such as road conditions, weather, and client preferences. Loading and Unloading: Assisting with the loading and unloading of passengers, goods, or materials as required. You handle cargo or luggage carefully, ensure proper securing and stowage, and follow loading procedures to prevent damage or injury during transit. Customer Service: Providing courteous and professional customer service to passengers or clients during transportation. You greet passengers, assist with boarding or disembarking, and address inquiries or requests in a friendly and helpful manner to ensure a positive experience for passengers. Vehicle Security and Safety: Securing vehicles and cargo to prevent theft, loss, or damage during transit. You lock doors, windows, and cargo compartments when the vehicle is parked, and remain vigilant for suspicious activity or security risks while on duty. Emergency Response: Responding calmly and effectively to emergencies or incidents encountered while driving. You follow established protocols for handling emergencies such as accidents, medical emergencies, or vehicle breakdowns, and take appropriate actions to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers and others involved. Documentation and Reporting: Completing required documentation and reporting related to driving activities, including mileage logs, trip records, incident reports, and vehicle inspection reports. You maintain accurate records of driving activities and communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors or relevant authorities as needed. Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies governing the operation of vehicles. You maintain valid driver's licenses, adhere to hours-of-service regulations, and comply with vehicle weight limits, vehicle registration, and insurance requirements. Professionalism and Courtesy: Demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and courtesy in all interactions with passengers, clients, and colleagues. You present yourself neatly and professionally, communicate clearly and respectfully, and conduct yourself in a manner that reflects positively on the organization and enhances its reputation.
