Vehicle Operation: Safely operate various types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, vans, forklifts, or specialized vehicles, depending on the specific needs of the automotive facility. Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and safe driving practices to ensure the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other road users. Transportation of Personnel: Transport employees, visitors, or clients to and from designated locations within the automotive facility or between different facilities as needed. Provide courteous and professional customer service to passengers, assist with boarding and disembarking, and ensure their comfort and safety during transit. Material Handling and Logistics: Transport materials, components, parts, tools, equipment, or finished products within the automotive facility, warehouse, or distribution center. Follow loading and unloading procedures, secure cargo properly, and verify inventory to ensure accurate and efficient transportation of goods. Route Planning and Navigation: Plan efficient routes and schedules for transportation tasks, taking into account factors such as traffic conditions, weather, and delivery deadlines. Use navigation systems, maps, or route planning software to navigate unfamiliar routes and reach destinations in a timely manner. Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to check for mechanical issues, safety hazards, or damage. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes, and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel. Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies governing vehicle operation and safety. Maintain accurate records of driving activities, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance to demonstrate compliance and track expenses. Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, accidents, or breakdowns encountered while driving. Follow established protocols for reporting incidents, providing assistance to passengers or other motorists, and coordinating with emergency services as needed. Customer Relations: Serve as a representative of the automotive organization when interacting with customers, suppliers, or the public during transportation activities. Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and discretion in all interactions to uphold the reputation and image of the organization. Security and Safety: Maintain a high level of awareness and vigilance to detect and prevent security threats, vandalism, or unauthorized access to vehicles or facilities. Follow security protocols, such as vehicle locking procedures, key control, and access control measures, to protect assets and ensure the safety of passengers and cargo. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, coworkers, and other personnel to coordinate transportation tasks, report status updates, and address any issues or concerns. Collaborate with team members in logistics, operations, or security to ensure the smooth flow of transportation activities and achieve organizational goals. Adherence to Company Policies: Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to vehicle operation, safety, security, and conduct.
