Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Objective: Improve the visibility of websites and web pages in search engine results pages (SERPs) to drive organic (unpaid) traffic. Tactics: Keyword research, on-page optimization (meta tags, content optimization), link building, and technical SEO. Search Engine Marketing (SEM) / Pay-Per-Click Advertising (PPC): Objective: Drive targeted traffic to websites by paying for ads to appear in search engine results. Platforms: Google Ads (formerly AdWords), Bing Ads. Tactics include keyword bidding, ad creation, and optimization. Content Marketing: Objective: Create and distribute valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience. Tactics: Blog posts, articles, videos, infographics, e-books, whitepapers, and more. Focus on providing educational or entertaining content. Social Media Marketing: Objective: Utilize social media platforms to build brand awareness, engage with audiences, and drive traffic to websites or landing pages. Platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc. Tactics include organic posting, paid advertising, influencer partnerships, and community management.
