Job description

Delivery Planning: Efficiently planning delivery routes to maximize productivity and minimize travel time. Considering factors such as traffic conditions, delivery schedules, and customer locations to optimize route efficiency. Loading and Unloading: Safely loading goods onto delivery vehicles, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage during transit. Unloading goods at delivery locations and verifying the accuracy of deliveries against delivery manifests or orders. Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting routine inspections and maintenance checks on delivery vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition. Checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and other essential components regularly. Customer Interaction: Providing excellent customer service during deliveries by being courteous, professional, and responsive to customer inquiries or requests. Delivering goods to customers' designated locations and obtaining signatures or confirmation of delivery. Product Knowledge: Having a good understanding of the products being delivered, including features, specifications, and handling instructions. Answering basic customer questions about products and providing assistance as needed. Problem Resolution: Addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during deliveries, such as damaged goods, incorrect orders, or delivery delays. Communicating promptly with supervisors or customer service representatives to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and regulations while driving and handling goods. Following traffic laws, speed limits, and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself, other road users, and the goods being transported. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including delivery manifests, proof of delivery receipts, and any relevant documentation. Recording any discrepancies, damages, or incidents that occur during deliveries for documentation and reporting purposes. Time Management: Managing delivery schedules and deadlines effectively to ensure on-time delivery of goods. Prioritizing deliveries based on urgency, customer requirements, and delivery commitments. Communication: Maintaining clear and timely communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or any other relevant information. Using communication devices such as mobile phones or two-way radios as needed. Problem-Solving: Being resourceful and adaptable in addressing unexpected challenges or obstacles that may arise during deliveries, such as road closures, traffic congestion, or inclement weather conditions. Continuous Improvement: Seeking feedback from supervisors or customers to identify areas for improvement in delivery processes, customer service, or route optimization.
