Job description

Delivery Operations: Pick up items from designated locations, such as warehouses, stores, or distribution centers. Ensure the safe and secure loading of items onto the delivery vehicle. Route Planning and Navigation: Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery. Navigate through traffic and follow GPS directions to reach delivery locations. Customer Service: Greet customers upon delivery and ensure a positive customer experience. Handle customer inquiries, concerns, or special instructions regarding the delivery. Order Verification and Documentation: Verify delivery orders against invoices or delivery notes to ensure accuracy. Collect payments, if required, and obtain signatures for proof of delivery. Vehicle Maintenance and Safety: Perform routine vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and functionality. Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain safe driving practices. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory records of delivered items and report any discrepancies or damages. Coordinate with warehouse or store personnel for stock replenishment or returns. Communication and Reporting: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, or customers regarding delivery status and issues. Provide regular updates and reports on delivery activities, including any delays or incidents. Skills and Qualifications: Valid Driver's License: Possession of a valid driver's license appropriate for the delivery vehicle type (e.g., car, van, motorcycle). Driving Skills: Safe driving record and proficiency in operating delivery vehicles. Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize deliveries to meet deadlines. Customer Orientation: Strong customer service skills with a focus on meeting customer needs and expectations. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry packages and perform physical tasks associated with delivery.
