Delivery Planning: Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance costs. Loading and Unloading: Load goods onto delivery vehicles securely, ensuring proper stacking and packaging to prevent damage during transit. Unload goods at the delivery location and handle them with care. Driving: Drive delivery vehicles safely and responsibly, following traffic laws and company policies. Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to designated delivery schedules. Navigation: Utilize GPS systems or maps to navigate delivery routes effectively, especially in unfamiliar areas. Familiarize yourself with local roads, traffic patterns, and delivery destinations. Customer Interaction: Interact with customers professionally and courteously upon delivery. Provide assistance with unloading goods if necessary and address any customer inquiries or concerns. Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery, signatures, and any relevant documentation. Ensure that all paperwork is completed correctly and submitted in a timely manner. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on delivery vehicles, such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and brakes. Report any maintenance issues or mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and company policies regarding vehicle operation, loading procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure that all deliveries are made in compliance with legal requirements and industry standards. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management by accurately counting and recording delivered goods. Notify the appropriate personnel of any discrepancies or shortages in the delivery. Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members. Provide updates on delivery status, delays, or any issues encountered during the delivery process. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service throughout the delivery process, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
