Job description

Hardware Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware components such as CPUs, RAM, hard drives, graphics cards, and peripherals (e.g., printers, scanners). Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of computer systems. Software Installation and Configuration: Install, update, and configure operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications on computer systems. Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues, including compatibility problems and software conflicts. Diagnosis and Repair: Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software problems affecting computer systems. Use diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint issues, conduct repairs, and replace faulty components as needed. Virus and Malware Removal: Detect and remove viruses, malware, spyware, and adware from computer systems using antivirus software and security tools. Implement security measures to prevent future infections and protect data integrity. Data Backup and Recovery: Perform data backups and restore operations to safeguard critical data and ensure data availability in case of system failures or data loss incidents. Use data recovery tools and techniques to retrieve lost or corrupted data. Network Connectivity: Set up, configure, and troubleshoot wired and wireless network connections for computer systems. Address network issues such as connectivity problems, IP address conflicts, and network security vulnerabilities. Peripheral Setup and Support: Connect, configure, and troubleshoot peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, external drives, and input devices (e.g., keyboards, mice). Ensure compatibility and functionality with computer systems. Customer Support and Training: Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, including troubleshooting computer problems, answering technical queries, and offering guidance on computer usage and best practices. Conduct training sessions or demonstrations to educate users on software applications and system maintenance. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of computer repairs, service tickets, inventory of hardware and software assets, and customer interactions. Generate reports detailing service activities, resolutions, and recommendations for system improvements. Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks such as system cleaning, hardware diagnostics, software updates, and performance optimization to prevent system failures and ensure reliability. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and testing procedures to verify the functionality and performance of repaired or serviced computer systems. Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
