Job description

Hardware Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware components such as CPUs, memory modules, hard drives, and peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.). Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and upgrading hardware components to optimize performance. Software Installation and Support: Install and configure operating systems, software applications, and drivers on computers and servers. Provide technical support to end-users for software installation, troubleshooting, and resolving software-related issues. Network Troubleshooting and Support: Assist in setting up and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, diagnose network problems, and escalate to network administrators when necessary. Security Monitoring and Maintenance: Implement and maintain security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and encryption protocols. Monitor systems for security breaches, malware, and unauthorized access, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks. Data Backup and Recovery: Perform regular backups of critical data and systems to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery preparedness. Restore data from backups in the event of data loss or system failure, minimizing downtime and impact on operations. User Training and Support: Provide training and technical guidance to end-users on computer hardware, software applications, and IT security best practices. Create user documentation and manuals to assist users in resolving common technical issues independently. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, maintenance activities, and support requests. Generate reports on system performance, hardware and software upgrades, and IT infrastructure status for management review. Skills and Qualifications: Technical Expertise: Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with end-users, colleagues, and vendors.
