Job description

Hardware Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair hardware issues in computers, including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals such as printers and scanners. This may involve troubleshooting problems with components like motherboards, processors, memory modules, hard drives, and power supplies. Software Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and update software applications, operating systems, drivers, and patches on computer systems. Ensure that software is properly licensed and configured to meet user requirements and security standards. Virus and Malware Removal: Detect and remove viruses, malware, spyware, and other security threats from computer systems. Use antivirus software, malware removal tools, and security best practices to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Data Backup and Recovery: Set up and maintain backup systems to protect data from loss due to hardware failure, software corruption, or human error. Perform data backups regularly and implement data recovery procedures to restore lost or corrupted data as needed. Network Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including wired and wireless connections, routers, switches, and modems. Identify and resolve problems with network configuration, IP addressing, DNS settings, and firewall rules. Peripheral Setup and Configuration: Install, configure, and troubleshoot peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, monitors, keyboards, and mice. Ensure compatibility with computer systems and resolve issues related to device drivers or hardware conflicts. System Upgrades and Maintenance: Upgrade computer hardware components such as memory, storage drives, graphics cards, and processors to improve performance and functionality. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, dusting, and cooling system checks to prevent hardware failures. Remote Support: Provide remote technical support to users experiencing computer problems or issues. Use remote desktop software, chat support, or phone assistance to troubleshoot and resolve issues without the need for onsite visits. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of computer repairs, service requests, and inventory of hardware and software assets. Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and recommendations for future reference and reporting purposes. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with users, explaining technical issues in non-technical terms, and ensuring timely resolution of computer problems. Manage expectations and follow up with users to ensure satisfaction.
