Job description

Hardware Installation and Maintenance: Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware components such as central processing units (CPUs), motherboards, memory (RAM), storage devices (hard disk drives, solid-state drives), graphics cards, and peripherals (keyboards, mice, monitors). Software Installation and Configuration: Installing, configuring, and updating operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications on computers. Computer Technicians ensure that software is properly installed, licensed, and configured to meet users' needs. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identifying and resolving hardware, software, and network issues through diagnostic tests, error logs, and user reports. Computer Technicians troubleshoot problems related to hardware components, operating systems, drivers, applications, and network connectivity. Hardware Repair and Replacement: Repairing or replacing faulty computer hardware components such as CPUs, memory modules, storage drives, power supplies, and expansion cards. Computer Technicians diagnose hardware failures, perform repairs or replacements, and test systems to ensure proper functionality. Virus and Malware Removal: Removing viruses, malware, and other malicious software from infected computers. Computer Technicians use antivirus and antimalware tools to scan, detect, and remove threats, as well as implement security measures to prevent future infections. Data Backup and Recovery: Performing data backup and recovery operations to protect user data and files from loss or corruption. Computer Technicians backup data from computers, restore files from backups when needed, and assist users in recovering lost data. Networking Support: Configuring and troubleshooting computer networks, including local area networks (LANs) and wireless networks. Computer Technicians diagnose network connectivity issues, configure network settings, and ensure proper communication between computers and network devices. Customer Support and Communication: Providing technical support and assistance to computer users, answering questions, and troubleshooting problems. Computer Technicians communicate with customers in a clear, courteous, and professional manner, explaining technical concepts and providing guidance on resolving issues.
