Job description

Surface Cleaning: Clean and sanitize various surfaces, including floors, walls, countertops, tables, desks, and equipment, using appropriate cleaning agents and tools. Remove dust, dirt, stains, and debris to maintain a clean and orderly appearance. Vacuuming and Sweeping: Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstery to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Sweep and mop hard floors to remove dirt, stains, and spills. Empty and clean vacuum cleaners and mop buckets regularly. Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and waste materials from bins, containers, and designated areas. Replace trash bags and liners as needed. Ensure that trash receptacles are clean and odor-free. Restroom Cleaning: Clean and disinfect restrooms, toilets, sinks, faucets, mirrors, and fixtures. Replenish restroom supplies, such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer. Ensure that restrooms are well-maintained and hygienic. Kitchen Cleaning: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including countertops, sinks, stovetops, appliances, and utensils. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Empty and clean refrigerator and freezer compartments. Dispose of food waste properly. Window and Glass Cleaning: Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools. Remove streaks, smudges, and fingerprints to ensure a clear and sparkling finish. Clean window sills, frames, and tracks as needed. Dusting and Polishing: Dust furniture, fixtures, shelves, and surfaces using dusters, cloths, or electrostatic dusting tools. Polish surfaces, such as wood furniture, metal fixtures, and glass surfaces, to maintain a clean and polished appearance. Floor Care: Strip, wax, and buff hard floors to maintain shine and durability. Apply floor sealants or coatings as needed. Clean and maintain floor mats, carpets, and rugs to prevent dirt and moisture buildup. Disinfection and Sanitization: Use disinfectants and sanitizers to kill germs, bacteria, and viruses on high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, handrails, and elevator buttons. Follow recommended cleaning protocols and disinfection guidelines to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies, such as vacuum cleaners, mops, brushes, and cleaning solutions. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to supervisors for repair or replacement. Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and exposure to hazardous substances. Use personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, goggles, and masks, when handling cleaning chemicals or performing tasks that may pose risks. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and building occupants to coordinate cleaning schedules, address cleaning priorities, and respond to special requests or emergencies. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure comprehensive cleaning coverage and support overall facility operations.
