Job description

Routine Cleaning: Performing routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, and wiping down surfaces to ensure cleanliness and hygiene in classrooms, offices, common areas, and restrooms. Disinfection: Using appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants to sanitize high-touch surfaces, equipment, and frequently used areas to prevent the spread of germs and infections. Trash Removal: Collecting and disposing of trash and recycling materials from designated bins throughout the nursing faculty buildings, ensuring proper waste management and sanitation standards are maintained. Restroom Maintenance: Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures, and restocking supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed. Floor Care: Sweeping, mopping, and/or vacuuming floors to remove dirt, debris, and spills, and occasionally performing tasks such as buffing, waxing, or shampooing carpets and hard floors to maintain their appearance and durability. Window and Glass Cleaning: Cleaning windows, glass doors, and partitions to ensure visibility and maintain a clean and professional appearance throughout the nursing faculty buildings. Specialized Cleaning: Performing specialized cleaning tasks as needed, such as cleaning laboratory equipment, sterilizing medical instruments, or addressing biohazard spills in accordance with safety protocols. Event Setup and Cleanup: Assisting with setup and cleanup tasks for events, meetings, and activities held within the nursing faculty, ensuring that venues are clean, organized, and ready for use before and after events. Inventory Management: Monitoring cleaning supplies and equipment, replenishing stock as needed, and notifying supervisors of any maintenance issues or supply shortages. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety procedures and guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and following established protocols for hazardous waste disposal. Communication: Communicating effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and building occupants to coordinate cleaning schedules, address concerns or requests, and ensure that cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to satisfaction. Professional Development: Participating in training programs and continuing education opportunities to enhance cleaning skills, stay updated on industry best practices, and promote professional growth and development.
