Job description

Surface Cleaning: This includes dusting, wiping, and polishing surfaces such as desks, countertops, tables, shelves, and furniture to remove dust, dirt, and debris. Floor Care: Cleaning floors by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, or scrubbing to remove dirt, stains, and spills. This may involve using different cleaning agents and equipment depending on the type of flooring (e.g., hardwood, tile, carpet). Bathroom and Restroom Cleaning: Disinfecting and sanitizing sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, mirrors, and fixtures. Restocking supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels. Kitchen and Breakroom Cleaning: Cleaning kitchen surfaces, appliances, sinks, and countertops. Washing dishes, cleaning microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee makers. Emptying trash bins and recycling bins. Dusting and Cobweb Removal: Removing dust from surfaces, corners, light fixtures, and ceiling fans. Cleaning air vents and baseboards. Trash Removal: Emptying and replacing trash bags in bins throughout the facility. Sorting recycling materials and disposing of waste in accordance with recycling policies. Window and Glass Cleaning: Cleaning windows, glass doors, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools to achieve streak-free results. Disinfection and Sanitization: Using disinfectants and sanitizers to kill bacteria, viruses, and germs on high-touch surfaces and commonly used areas. This is particularly important in healthcare settings and during times of heightened hygiene awareness. Specialized Cleaning Tasks: Depending on the environment, cleaning may also involve tasks such as carpet shampooing, upholstery cleaning, floor waxing or polishing, and deep cleaning of appliances or equipment. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to health and safety standards, guidelines, and protocols when handling cleaning chemicals, equipment, and waste disposal. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary. Organization and Time Management: Efficiently organizing cleaning tasks, prioritizing areas for cleaning based on usage and cleanliness standards. Managing time effectively to complete tasks within designated schedules. Communication: Communicating effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients to report any maintenance issues, supply needs, or special cleaning requirements. Responding promptly to requests or feedback.
