Job description

Cleaning Surfaces: You are responsible for cleaning various surfaces, including floors, walls, windows, furniture, and fixtures. This may involve sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping, and polishing surfaces to remove dirt, dust, stains, and fingerprints. Disinfecting and Sanitizing: In addition to cleaning, you may be responsible for disinfecting and sanitizing surfaces to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria. This may involve using disinfectant cleaners or sanitizing sprays to kill harmful pathogens on high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, handles, countertops, and restroom fixtures. Trash Removal: You are responsible for emptying trash bins and disposing of waste materials properly. This may involve collecting trash from designated areas, replacing trash bags, and transporting trash to designated disposal areas, such as dumpsters or trash receptacles. Restroom Cleaning: If you are responsible for cleaning restrooms, your duties may include cleaning and sanitizing toilets, sinks, urinals, mirrors, and other restroom fixtures. You may also be responsible for restocking restroom supplies, such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels. Kitchen Cleaning: If you are responsible for cleaning kitchen areas, your duties may include cleaning and sanitizing countertops, sinks, appliances, and cooking surfaces. You may also be responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as disposing of food waste properly. Floor Care: You are responsible for maintaining clean and well-maintained floors in the designated area. This may involve sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, buffing, and polishing floors to remove dirt, stains, and scuff marks and to restore shine and luster. Supply Management: You may be responsible for monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies, such as cleaning solutions, disinfectants, trash bags, and paper products. This may involve keeping inventory of supplies, placing orders as needed, and organizing supplies in designated storage areas. Reporting Maintenance Issues: You are responsible for identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards in the designated area. This may include reporting broken fixtures, malfunctioning equipment, or safety hazards, such as slippery floors or damaged surfaces, to the appropriate authorities for repair or replacement. Following Safety Protocols: You are responsible for following safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. This may include wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), using cleaning chemicals safely, and following proper lifting and handling techniques to prevent injuries. Customer Service: If you work in a customer-facing role, providing excellent customer service is important. This may involve greeting customers or building occupants, addressing their cleaning needs or concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleaning services provided.
