Job description

Site Supervision: Supervise construction activities on-site, including excavation, foundation work, structural construction, and finishing work. Monitor progress, quality, and safety of work performed by construction crews and subcontractors. Work Planning and Scheduling: Plan and schedule construction activities in coordination with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors. Develop work schedules, allocate resources, and establish milestones to ensure timely completion of project phases. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets quality standards and specifications. Conduct inspections, tests, and quality checks to verify compliance with design requirements and industry best practices. Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols, regulations, and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site. Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify hazards, mitigate risks, and prevent accidents or injuries. Material Management: Manage procurement, delivery, and storage of construction materials, equipment, and supplies. Ensure that materials are properly received, stored, and used according to project requirements and specifications. Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with project stakeholders, including engineers, architects, clients, and regulatory authorities. Communicate project requirements, updates, and issues effectively to ensure alignment and collaboration among all parties involved. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve construction-related issues, conflicts, or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle. Collaborate with project team members to develop solutions, address obstacles, and maintain project progress. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to construction activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection records. Document work performed, issues encountered, and solutions implemented for reference and accountability. Change Management: Manage changes to construction plans, specifications, or scope of work. Evaluate proposed changes, assess impacts on cost and schedule, and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders for approval and implementation. Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures, track costs, and control expenses within the approved project budget. Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and change orders for accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements. Training and Development: Provide guidance, training, and supervision to construction crews and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and productivity standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among team members. Client Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients by addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner. Provide updates on project progress, milestones, and issues to ensure client satisfaction and confidence in project delivery.
