Job description

Site Supervision: Supervise construction activities on-site, including earthwork, excavation, foundation construction, structural erection, and finishing works, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards. Team Management: Lead and manage construction crews, subcontractors, and laborers, assigning tasks, scheduling work activities, and providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and quality of work. Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols, procedures, and regulations on the construction site to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards. Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, and safety training for workers as needed. Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure that construction work meets quality requirements and standards. Address any defects, deficiencies, or non-conformities promptly and effectively. Material Management: Coordinate the delivery, storage, and handling of construction materials and equipment on-site. Ensure that materials are properly stored, handled, and used according to project specifications and safety guidelines. Progress Monitoring: Monitor construction progress, track work milestones, and report progress to project managers and stakeholders. Identify and address any delays, bottlenecks, or issues that may impact project schedule and budget. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date construction records, including daily logs, progress reports, inspection reports, and as-built drawings. Document changes, deviations, and revisions to project plans and specifications. Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues, clarify requirements, and ensure smooth communication and collaboration throughout the construction process. Cost Control: Assist in monitoring project costs, tracking expenditures, and controlling project budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective solutions to optimize project performance and profitability. Client Communication: Interface with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to provide progress updates, address concerns, and ensure that project objectives and expectations are met. Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner. Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements applicable to construction activities. Implement measures to minimize environmental impact and protect natural resources. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and operation of construction equipment and machinery on-site, ensuring that they are in good working condition and used safely and efficiently. Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts, disputes, and disagreements among construction personnel and stakeholders diplomatically and constructively. Foster positive relationships and teamwork to achieve project goals and objectives. Training and Development: Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to construction crews and laborers to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, permits, and other legal requirements governing construction activities. Obtain necessary permits and approvals and ensure that construction work is conducted lawfully and ethically.
