Job description

Supervision of Construction Activities: Directing and supervising construction activities on-site, including earthwork, concrete pouring, structural assembly, and finishing work. You ensure that work is carried out according to project plans, specifications, and schedules. Quality Control and Assurance: Implementing quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets quality standards and specifications. You conduct inspections, review workmanship, and address deficiencies or non-compliance with project requirements. Safety Management: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and implementing safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the construction site. You conduct safety briefings, enforce safety procedures, and promote a culture of safety awareness among construction workers and subcontractors. Resource Management: Managing labor, equipment, and materials on-site to ensure efficient utilization and productivity. You coordinate deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and resolve resource allocation issues to support construction progress and meet project deadlines. Coordination with Contractors and Subcontractors: Collaborating with contractors, subcontractors, and tradespeople to coordinate construction activities and resolve technical issues or conflicts. You facilitate communication, provide guidance, and ensure that subcontractors adhere to project specifications and quality requirements. Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Monitoring construction progress and providing regular updates to project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients. You track milestones, report on project status, and address any delays or issues that may impact project timelines. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of construction activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection records. You document work performed, materials used, and any deviations from design specifications for future reference and audit purposes. Change Management: Managing changes to construction plans, specifications, and schedules in coordination with project management and engineering teams. You assess change requests, evaluate their impact on project scope and budget, and implement change control procedures to minimize disruptions and maintain project alignment. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Resolving technical challenges and making informed decisions to address issues that arise during construction. You troubleshoot problems, propose solutions, and collaborate with project stakeholders to implement corrective actions and keep construction progress on track. Client Relations and Communication: Serving as a point of contact for clients and stakeholders regarding construction progress, issues, and concerns. You communicate effectively, address client inquiries or requests promptly, and foster positive relationships to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
