Job description

Construction Planning: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop construction plans, schedules, and budgets for civil engineering projects within automotive facilities. Site Preparation: Coordinate site preparation activities, including clearing, grading, and excavation, to prepare the site for construction work. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental requirements. Material Procurement: Procure construction materials, equipment, and supplies needed for civil engineering projects. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of materials on site. Construction Supervision: Oversee construction activities on site to ensure that work is carried out according to approved plans, specifications, and quality standards. Monitor progress, productivity, and performance of construction crews and subcontractors. Quality Assurance and Control: Implement quality assurance and control measures to ensure the integrity and quality of construction work. Conduct inspections, tests, and evaluations to verify compliance with engineering standards and specifications. Safety Management: Prioritize safety in all construction activities and enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations. Identify and mitigate potential hazards, conduct safety meetings, and provide training to workers to promote a safe work environment. Coordination and Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for construction teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders on site. Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate activities and resolve issues. Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress reports and updates to project managers and stakeholders on the status of construction activities. Report on milestones achieved, work completed, and any issues or challenges encountered during construction. Change Management: Manage changes to construction plans, specifications, and scope as directed by project managers or as necessitated by site conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Document changes, assess their impact, and communicate adjustments to stakeholders. Resource Management: Allocate resources, equipment, and manpower effectively to optimize construction productivity and efficiency. Monitor resource usage, track expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization. Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards governing construction activities. Implement measures to minimize environmental impacts and mitigate potential pollution or damage to natural resources. Community Relations: Foster positive relationships with local communities and stakeholders affected by construction activities. Address community concerns, communicate project benefits, and minimize disruptions to surrounding areas. Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports related to construction activities. Keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, equipment deployed, and any incidents or issues encountered during construction. Closeout and Handover: Coordinate the closeout and handover of completed construction projects to clients or facility owners. Ensure that all necessary documentation, permits, and certifications are obtained, and that final inspections are conducted prior to project acceptance.
