Job description

Project Planning: Leading the project planning phase, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans in collaboration with stakeholders. Stakeholder Communication: Serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal team members. Facilitating communication, managing expectations, and resolving issues to ensure alignment with project goals. Team Leadership: Building and managing a project team, including engineers, architects, designers, and support staff. Providing leadership, guidance, and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle. Budget Management: Managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and controlling costs to ensure that projects are completed within budget constraints. Monitoring financial performance and implementing corrective actions as needed to mitigate risks and optimize resource allocation. Schedule Management: Developing project schedules, establishing milestones, and tracking progress to ensure that projects are completed on time. Identifying potential schedule delays and implementing strategies to mitigate risks and maintain schedule adherence. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and uncertainties associated with project execution and developing risk management plans to mitigate these risks. Monitoring risk factors, implementing contingency plans, and proactively addressing issues to minimize project disruptions. Quality Assurance: Establishing quality standards and ensuring that project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and regulatory requirements. Implementing quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, and addressing non-conformities to maintain project quality. Contract Administration: Reviewing and negotiating contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensuring that contractual obligations are fulfilled, change orders are properly managed, and disputes are resolved in a timely and equitable manner. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes, and standards governing civil engineering projects. Obtaining permits, approvals, and certifications from regulatory agencies and addressing environmental, health, and safety requirements. Procurement and Vendor Management: Procuring materials, equipment, and services required for project execution. Selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality performance. Construction Management: Overseeing the construction phase of projects, including coordinating contractors, monitoring progress, and ensuring that work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, plans, specifications, and reports. Providing regular progress updates, status reports, and project documentation to stakeholders and management. Change Management: Managing changes to project scope, schedule, and budget through formal change control processes. Evaluating change requests, assessing impacts, and obtaining approvals to ensure that changes are implemented effectively. Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients through regular communication, responsiveness, and proactive engagement. Addressing client concerns, soliciting feedback, and seeking opportunities for additional work or referrals. Post-Project Evaluation: Conducting post-project evaluations and lessons learned sessions to assess project performance, identify areas for improvement, and capture best practices for future projects. Documenting project outcomes, successes, and challenges for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
