Job description

Project Planning: Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders, engineers, and contractors. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and establish timelines and milestones for each phase of the project. Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support project activities and meet project requirements. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to procure necessary resources and services. Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, supervisors, and support staff. Delegate tasks, assign responsibilities, and provide guidance and support to ensure team members work effectively and collaboratively towards project goals. Risk Management: Identify potential risks, hazards, and challenges associated with the project and develop risk management plans to mitigate them. Monitor and assess project risks throughout the project lifecycle and implement contingency measures as needed. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and financial targets. Track project costs, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving measures to optimize project profitability. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards, codes, and specifications. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality assurance checks to identify and address any deficiencies or deviations. Schedule Management: Monitor project schedules and timelines to ensure that work progresses according to plan and milestones are met. Identify potential schedule delays or bottlenecks and implement strategies to keep the project on track and minimize disruptions. Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, progress, and performance. Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally to maintain positive relationships and customer satisfaction. Contract Administration: Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and other project documents with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure that all contractual obligations are fulfilled, and terms and conditions are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, and approvals from government agencies and regulatory bodies. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing civil engineering projects and ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations. Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, contracts, reports, and correspondence. Document project progress, decisions, and communications to provide a clear record of project history and facilitate project closeout and handover. Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and lessons learned from previous projects. Conduct post-project reviews and evaluations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in project management practices and performance.
