Job description

Project Planning: Lead project planning efforts by defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and constraints. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders. Team Management: Build and lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, architects, designers, contractors, and subcontractors. Delegate tasks, assign responsibilities, and provide guidance and support to team members. Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. Communicate project progress, milestones, and challenges effectively and proactively address client concerns and expectations. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop project budgets, track expenditures, and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle. Implement cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints. Schedule Management: Create project schedules, identify critical path activities, and track progress against timelines. Implement schedule management techniques to minimize delays and ensure project milestones are met. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with civil engineering projects and develop risk management strategies to mitigate risks. Monitor project risks, implement contingency plans, and address issues as they arise. Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Establish QA/QC procedures and standards to ensure that project deliverables meet quality requirements. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews to verify compliance and address non-conformities. Contract Management: Manage project contracts, including procurement, negotiation, and administration. Ensure that contracts are executed properly, and all parties adhere to contractual obligations and terms. Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and licenses from regulatory agencies and government authorities. Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, environmental laws, and other legal requirements. Construction Oversight: Supervise construction activities, monitor progress, and ensure that work is performed according to project plans and specifications. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve issues and address changes. Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget effectively. Evaluate change requests, assess their impact on project objectives, and implement change control procedures to minimize disruptions. Client Satisfaction: Foster positive relationships with clients by delivering projects on time, within budget, and to their satisfaction. Solicit feedback, address concerns, and strive to exceed client expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Safety and Risk Mitigation: Prioritize safety on the project site and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards. Identify potential safety risks and implement measures to mitigate them. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence. Prepare regular progress reports, financial reports, and project documentation for stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project performance, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements for future projects. Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to enhance project delivery.
