Job description

Developing QA/QC Plans: Create comprehensive QA/QC plans for civil engineering projects, outlining procedures, standards, and protocols to ensure quality throughout the project lifecycle. Define quality objectives, performance criteria, and quality assurance processes to guide project implementation. Quality Standards and Specifications: Establish and enforce quality standards, specifications, and acceptance criteria for materials, construction methods, and workmanship. Ensure that all project components comply with applicable codes, regulations, and industry best practices. Quality Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality assessments at various stages of the project to verify compliance with quality requirements and identify any deficiencies or non-conformities. Use checklists, inspection forms, and testing protocols to document findings and observations. Material Testing and Approval: Oversee material testing and approval processes to ensure that materials used in construction meet quality standards and specifications. Coordinate with testing laboratories, suppliers, and third-party inspectors to conduct material testing and analysis. Documentation and Records Management: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to QA/QC activities, including inspection reports, test results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions. Document quality-related information to provide evidence of compliance and facilitate project documentation. Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and track non-conformities, deviations, and quality issues encountered during project execution. Investigate root causes of non-conformities, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and monitor their effectiveness to prevent recurrence. Quality Training and Awareness: Provide training, guidance, and support to project teams, contractors, and subcontractors on quality assurance principles, procedures, and requirements. Promote a culture of quality awareness and accountability throughout the project organization. Supplier and Subcontractor Quality Management: Evaluate the quality performance of suppliers and subcontractors and ensure that they adhere to project quality requirements and contractual obligations. Conduct supplier audits, performance reviews, and quality assessments to monitor and improve supplier performance. Change Management and Configuration Control: Implement change management processes and configuration control procedures to manage changes to project scope, specifications, and design documents. Ensure that changes are properly reviewed, approved, and documented to maintain project quality and integrity. Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains in QA/QC practices and procedures. Implement corrective actions, preventive measures, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance project quality and performance. Client Liaison and Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, and regulatory authorities regarding quality-related matters. Address client concerns, provide updates on quality performance, and respond to inquiries to maintain client satisfaction and confidence in project quality. Regulatory Compliance and Certification: Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and certification programs related to quality management in civil engineering projects. Obtain necessary certifications, accreditations, and approvals to demonstrate compliance with quality standards and regulatory mandates.
