Job description

Drafting and Design: Your main task is to use AutoCAD software to produce accurate and detailed drawings of civil engineering designs, including site plans, structural details, roadways, drainage systems, and utilities. Following Design Standards: You'll need to adhere to industry and company standards and regulations while creating designs. This may include following specific CAD standards, local building codes, and engineering principles. Collaboration with Engineers and Architects: You'll work closely with civil engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements, discuss design concepts, and incorporate feedback into your drawings. Site Analysis and Survey Data Integration: Before creating designs, you may need to analyze site data, including survey reports, topographic maps, and aerial photographs. Integrating this information into your CAD drawings ensures that designs are accurate and feasible. Producing Construction Documents: You'll be responsible for creating construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, that provide contractors with the information they need to implement the design on-site. Quality Control and Review: You'll conduct quality checks on your drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements. This may involve reviewing drawings yourself or collaborating with colleagues for peer review. Staying Updated on Software and Industry Trends: AutoCAD software is constantly evolving, so it's important to stay updated on new features and tools that can improve efficiency and productivity.
