Job description

Diagnostic Assessment: Conduct diagnostic tests and inspections to identify hardware faults and malfunctions in electronic devices, including computers, smartphones, tablets, and other electronic gadgets. Use diagnostic tools, schematics, and testing equipment to pinpoint the root cause of issues. Component-Level Repair: Disassemble electronic devices to access internal components and circuit boards. Repair or replace defective integrated circuits (ICs), chips, capacitors, resistors, transistors, and other electronic components using soldering irons, rework stations, and soldering techniques. Soldering and Desoldering: Perform soldering and desoldering operations to remove and replace surface-mounted and through-hole components on circuit boards. Use soldering techniques such as reflow soldering, hand soldering, and hot air rework to ensure proper connections and component alignment. Component Testing: Test individual electronic components, such as ICs, diodes, and capacitors, using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment. Verify component functionality, electrical parameters, and performance characteristics to ensure proper operation within the circuit. Circuit Board Repair: Repair damaged or faulty circuit boards by tracing and repairing circuit traces, repairing broken solder joints, and replacing damaged traces or conductive pathways. Perform circuit board rework and modification to correct design flaws or manufacturing defects. Data Recovery: Assist with data recovery operations for electronic devices experiencing data loss or corruption. Retrieve data from damaged storage devices, such as hard drives, solid-state drives (SSDs), and memory cards, using specialized tools and techniques. Firmware and Software Updates: Update firmware and software on electronic devices to resolve software-related issues, improve device performance, and enhance compatibility with hardware components. Flash firmware, install drivers, and update operating systems as needed. Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks and inspections to ensure that repaired devices meet quality standards and specifications. Perform functional tests, performance benchmarks, and stress tests to validate device functionality and reliability. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of repair activities, including diagnostic findings, repair procedures, parts used, and testing results. Document repair logs, service reports, and warranty information for reference and accountability purposes. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients by addressing their inquiries, concerns, and service requests in a professional and timely manner. Communicate technical information and repair status updates clearly and effectively to customers. Continuing Education: Stay updated on the latest technologies, tools, and techniques in chip-level repair and electronics troubleshooting through training, workshops, and self-study. Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices to maintain expertise in the field. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices for handling electronic components, soldering equipment, and testing instruments. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards for handling hazardous materials and electronic waste.
